*Not all pics from the Granville Island Stage run, or the BC Tour in 2009 are still available.  You waited really long to look at them… what’s up with that?  Try photo bombing one of the boyz the next time you see them on the street or at church.  That’s probably a fun challenge for you… photo bomb all of the guys who were in the Arts Club production of Altar Boyz at any given time.  You’ll need to photo bomb Jeremy Crittenden, Geoffrey Stevens, Jak Barradell, Michael Culp, Vincent Tong, David Hurwitz and Charles McEachern.  Show us the pics and we’ll find a prize or something.  Maybe some cake.

We’ve heard plenty of confessions saying you can’t get enough of the communion wine, so the boyz are letting you bring your Blood of Christ into the houze during their raise the praise tour in Vancouver.

Oh sure, many people are also bringing beer and cocktails in from the Revue Stage Bar, but don’t tell the boyz.  Especially Luke.  Dear lord, don’t you dare tell Luke.  He really needs to drive the boyz home after the show.

Post show, the boyz spend their time reviewing said confessionz to identify any souls that are likely to find themselves weighed down with sin somewhere between their seat in the Revue stage and their car in the parking lot.

Great use of alliteration, girl.  While many resource companies have sought after Mark for his abilities while deep in a cave, he doesn’t plan on getting into the mining business just yet.  He’s plenty happy raisin’ the faith with his boyz.

They boyz don’t think being a happy mormon is a sin, Ken.  You just get out there, ring those door bells and be as gay as you wanna.

Oh, Miguel.  This is a very serious sin… if they boyz don’t have enough money for gas, they’ll really miss that extra ticket dough.  But we forgive ya.

The Revue Stage

The boyz recently rolled the van back into Van.

Couver that is.

But when they arrived on Granville Island and went to set up their old dressing room again, they found hundreds of cans of spray glitter, heaps of roller-skates and a flying horse.

Evidently some kind of ancient Greek cult acts are playing out on the Granville Island stage, albeit with an Australian accent.  Sinful, the boyz are sure.

After some prayers, the boyz tour manager, Bill Millerd escorted them out of the building and introduced them to the Revue Stage, where they’ll spend the summer saving souls.

Mark, after being forced to do a few Hail Mary’s after looting some skates and glitter, was very excited to see their new stage, new set and the crazy intimate venue.  Juan was mostly excited about how close the ladies in the first few rows would be to the boyz.

Matthew was still praying following a harrowing van ride while an exhausted Luke took a very deep nap on the steering wheel.

Altar Boyz ran Off-Broadway from 2005 to 2010, gaining rapturous critical and audience acclaim while becoming the 9th longest-running Off-Broadway musical of all time. Well, this marks the end of an incredible journey for thousands of fanz, an amazing company of crew, musicians and directors, and five funky boyz.

On behalf of the entire company of the Arts Club’s production of “Altar Boyz,” thank you all for coming to see us onstage, and here on the Altar Blog.  It means a great deal to us all.
